I would like some info for privately owned strip pits that have cabins for rent in the linton area. Thanks Phil

You might check with DNR of the county health departments in those areas since some of them have to be licensed or follow regulations? They may not advertise. There are several places where the State owns pits and has camping and possibly cabins. Sullivan Greene has somem pits and camping; there is a part of Sullivan Greene that Linton owns as well. There are a lot of public pits that are never fished because of accessibility or are trolling motor only, but there may not be housing.

Personally, I use a muck cart, attach a 5 or 8 gallon bucket with bungee cords, and haul my poles, food, a hammock, and walk to the less frequented pits. Go with a friend, however, as some of the pits can be dangerous; public areas or not, isolated places for good meth labs.

There are some very inexpensive hotels in the areas, however.

Or maybe the assessor's office. I don't know of any with pre existing cabins, but there are some the let you put on your own camper / trailer for a season.
