Tim I had saved my biggest gizzard for this drift and as soon as I hit the bottom BANG,BANG,a hard run and I set the hook...It ran straight under the boat fast and I had to chase him around to the other side.Thought I had a decent cat but well......Da^^. Evidently I had missed the cat and stuck this critter in the pectorial fin muscle. All I can say is he flat wore me out...then he tanned in the front of my boat for the rest of the day. looked like a dang sea bass.
Lol that would be a great fight!
No Asian Carp should be caught more than once...if you know what I mean
Hey, lets all get together over a beer and try to design a miniature depth charge rack that can be bolted to fishing boats. The depth charges would be the size of a beer can. Using the fishfinder to locate schools of these asian invaders, you'd make one pass over them rolling depth charges, give the water time to settle again, then come back and fish the spot you "prepared". The cats would probably be stacked up there, feeding on the "chum" created by "preparing" the Asian Carp.
Hey Chuck Dean said you had a big one....
Tim Farmer is right. Those fish got into the Mississippi because the folks in Arkansas were growin them for the Asian Food markets. They are delicious and there is no limit on them, so catch all you want ... You can smoke em and save them for years, vacuum packed. Makes for great survival food, come Dec. 21... LOL.
