Report Updated April 4, 2008 With all the recent rain we originally slated to fish Taylorsville Lake on 4-2-08. We moved the tournament to Green River Lake and what a great move that was. The lake was 5 feet below summer pool, water tempature was 49-51 degrees. The fishing was great. We only had 12 boats, due to the change of lakes some boats didn't make it. The boats that did caught fish. My partner and I had 17.69 lbs. and finished second. We had a 5.18 lbs. large mouth, 4.27 lbs. large mouth, and 4.18 lbs small mouth along with two nice other fish. We got nine bites all day, we caught 8. I also caught a 40" muskie. We caught all of our fish on medium running crank baits, on main lake structure. The first place boat had a limit anchored by a 7.33 lbs large mouth. They also had a nice fish over 5 lbs. All there fish were caught on jerk baits. The third place boat had a nice limit anchored by two big small mouth, one of the smallies weighed 5.12 lbs. the other was pushing 5 lbs. They caught there fish on jigs. Two other boats had respectible bags in the 12-13 lbs. range. Green River is definatly getting ready to bust loose. The fish my partner and I did get catch, were all quality fish. I don't think we had to measure a fish all day. The smallist of the fish we caught was alittle better than 14 in. , he didn't stay in the boat very long

Report Updated May 5, 2008
My son and I fished from about 12 noon until 6pm (in 30 mile an hour
winds) and caught 37 hybrids and white bass with many fish in the
2-5 pound range and the largest coming in at just under 12 pounds.
We trolled rooster tails with a small swivel, and shad raps. The fish total was about equal which is strange due to depth run. The big fish was on the #5 Shad Rap. Sunday April 27th, 41 Hybrids and
whites
