    c-land stripers

just got off the water, fish are STILL very deep, on the channel/cove intersections, schooled very tightly and right on the bottom. if you dont take some time to fine tune your graph and reduce the cone angle you are probably not going to see the majority of these fish. also i havent seen the need to graph the upper 2/3s of the water column so zoom in on the bottom 20 feet. live bait has been the ticket for us, had 6 on at one time and 5 were flopping in the bottom of the boat in less than 10 minutes. BUT, downriggers are going to be as/more productive very very soon as the water temperature finally was in the high 70s this morning and the schools are going to start being very mobile and difficult to chase down with live bait.

STILL NO JUMPS..... if they came up tommorrow we are already a month behind

    hope this helps, good luck

This would be a fantastic situation for spoons if you do not have bait. Drop to the bottom, up 10 cranks, back to the bottom.
