I fished the Kentucky river from the Oregon road ramp. I think it is pool #6. We caught both largemouth and Kentucky's from very small(about 5 inches on a crank bait) to a Kentucky at 16 inches and a largemouth that was 15 inches. Lots of leaves on the water and there was a small amout of current. We caught alot of good 12 plus fish and even scored a good cat(4 pounds) on a baby brush hog. The fishing has started to pick up and can only get better as fall settles in. The KY river is the most under used fishery in the state with some of the best fishing. Only saw 2 other boats and one of them was trolling and the other was a runabout. Remember when passing another boat, slow down. That is what you would want them to do if you are on the river. Good luck and when on the river look out for stuff floating.
