Man I feel for her and I think McDonalds needed that slap but didn't deserve the awarded and reduced amount against them. IMO that was over the top. Pay for her medical bills, lifetime free food and anything associated with her injuries but that's it....and I say that because of their approach when she wrote that letter.

Mistakes are made with Hot fluids all the time and some are tragic. Kids being scalded in tubs or by boiling water are just a few that come to mind....it's still a mistake and life is a bitch.

I do wonder how a 10* cooler cup of coffee would do in the same situation? I say it will still cause burns and especially if it happened to a child or an elderly person with soft and damaged skin from age.

It's a touchy subject because lawyer crooks will sue their mother if they could get a dollar and once you add multi billion mega business like McDonalds you have a feeding frenzy.
