    Randall Gibson on KET

Last night (Sat.) on KET's Kentucky Afield, the entire show was devoted to Randall Gibson.

It showcased the fishing prowess of Randall from way back and when Tim Farmer first became friends with Randall. The whole program was a pleasure to watch not to mention the monster fish they boated!

The show will re-air at 4:00 pm EDT today on KET.

WELL that's a very real possibility there Relax! Both having the same last name of Gibson, living in the lake region, and loving the lake like they both did. Yep its possible. Hopefully DMS, KyAl, or 911 or some other long time local member might know.

IF not...I'll betcha they are sharing some great stories about Lake Cumberland up there on that big lake in the sky. http://lakecumberland.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif

THANKS MUCH. WAS ABLE TO CATCH IT THIS AFTERNOON ON KET. Would have missed a great tribute to Randell without your heads up. Hoping KET will offer this for sale on a DVD to share with me grandson. Thanks again!

Tim Farmer's special tribute to Randell Gibson is outstanding.
You will see Randell's fishing guide skills and fish being caught on different lakes & the river.
I especially like the way KY Afield captured Randell's humor and his love for the outdoors.
I know there are MANY fishing guides who do a great job with their clients....
but old Randell goes down in my head as the SMARTEST, MOST EXPERIENCED, FUNNIEST, FISHERMAN OF MY LIFE TIME.
I never paid Randell one dime as a guide, my son fished with him & I directed many people to him.
We first met in 1984 on the river before he was a guide.......and I knew immediately that he was someone who I needed to stay in touch with.

As Tim stated on his Kentucky Afield show.....
value friendships with fishing buddies because none of us know when we will have our last fishing trip with a buddy.
