    Ranger rod locker problem

I have a Ranger 375V and I'm having the issue of pooling water in my rod lockers everytime i'm out on the water in a heavy rain. My deck extension and rod locker lids are not factory. I had a guy build me a deck extension and rod locker lids and needless to say it is very poorly done, but i was wandering if anyone knows or has any ideas how i could keep the water from pooling up in my rod lockers? I thought about drilling a hole in the lowest point in the rod locker floor but didn't know if that would be a good idea or not. I know with the way he built my deck and my lids i'm not going to have dry storage but i just want to keep the water from gathering up in the rod lockers before I lose any more tackle due to water damage. Thanks!
