Skipjack herring

I've been starting to catch some nice skipjacks at the tailwaters below taylorsville. I've got a few that are 16 to 17 inches and of course several smaller ones. If you enjoy cat fishing you should definitely come get you some killer bait.

where do you catch them and how? I went last year and only managed 3 in 2 hours fishing below the box

Sabiki rig is what I was throwing or a float with tube jig popping it back to me. The water has been up down there making it easier. Not much luck in the box but water should be up and flowing still so I'll be down to try again Sunday morning or afternoon

I was there yesterday afternoon for a couple of hours. They slowed down the draw, and the fishing was slow,maybe they moved back. I managed two trout, and saw a guy catch one nice hybrid/white bass?
