    Cumberland lake level

Well boys its official the lake shall now return to its normal state of 723 which it has and has exceeded so far this Spring. I for one love the new structure the lake has although it is at times VERY frustrating and has all but destroyed the Striper night bite, ''As we have known it'' for all our lives up till now.
My wish was one that many shared but the ACOE would have none of it. That was to call the lake full pool at 715 not 723. Yea I know its only 8 feet but it allows alot more bank access and it helps to have a place for the debris to settle down to on the banks. For me its a much prettier lake to at that level.

It is what it is and the Corp will do whatever they want that track record stands for itself, lol. Not really complaining just venting out loud I suppose.

Have a good weekend and if you are boating Cumberland be on YOUR TOES there are forests floating right now, respect it or paddle home...

The unbelievable amount of cover can be overwelming for sure. I for one am so glad to see her back at 723. Lots of old spots & bluff ledges we use to catch them on are finally covered with water again & there are fish to be caught on them. If I ever get off this 60 hours a week work schedule you can bet I'll be dropping a jig or plastics on them. lol I'll definitley be hitting the Burnside tournaments every chance I get. The old summer time ledges were great fishing to me.

How much trash (wood & debris) is floating around? Figured there'd be quite a bit with the water coming up and washing it all off the bank. Fishing a tournament down there next weekend and was just curious. Is the floating wood and debris so bad that you can't get your boat up on plane and run? Thanks...

Be real careful in spots its horrible. With the recent rains and the lake again on the rise it will be getting worse again. It will be bad until the water becomes stable for a week or two and the junk finds a place to rest up high.
