    Cumberland

Heading down to Cumberland this coming Sunday (7th) for some bass fishing. (LM/SM/KY - not going for Striper). Haven't been bass fishing on Cumberland in a while, and was just looking for a report or some advice. My buddy and I will be fishing early evening up until past dark. Just looking for a report and some advice, not wanting anyone's specific honey holes or anything like that, just want to be pointed in the right direction.... Such as what condition the lake is in (water temp/clarity), what end of the lake is best right now (lower end or upper end), and maybe if they are hitting on plastics, jigs, cranks? Any advice is greatly appreciated and I promise to post a report when we get back. Thanks !!!

162 views and 0 replies.... Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I have become more and more disappointed in this site recently, seems like when I first started using it years ago, everyone was much more helpful.

It was poker weekend, but mos of that traffic was off the water by the time we put in. We put in at Lee's Ford on Sunday, about 4:00. Fished fishing creek and the main lake from fishing creek to Conley, had 25-30 fish total, a lot of them on soft plastics and a few on cranks. Quite a few spots, a couple SM, and one LM. And FlyLie... It's real easy to act big and bad on a online forum, I thought this sport was supposed to be about being a outdoorsman and not a prick. And all I said was I was disappointed. If you wanna talk like that, that shows me how much of a sissy you are, I'm not gonna stoop to your level and act all big and bad and tell you where to go on a forum.

Striper and Fishincreek I have no problem with, all they did was tell me why there wasn't a reply, they weren't smart*** and didn't have to act all big and bad on a online forum. But FlyLie, you jut had to try to show how big and bad you are. Anyways, if anyone wants to talk about cumberland fishing that's was my reply/report... I really felt like we did a lot better than I expected we would, they were biting pretty good, and had one spot that was about 3 - 3 1/2!

We were down last week put in at the dam and fished beaver and otter creek. We would get into schools of spots and there would be 50-75 fish schooled up chasing shad. I have never witnessed spots school like that but it was pretty awesome, they would come right up under the boat. We ended up having a good day, lots of spots and smallies. Smallies were deep and came on shakey heads, spots on jerk baits and crank bait.
