Hey guys, I'm looking for a little help don't expect anybody's honey holes just some guidance. I usually don't fishing in October due to deer season but a buddy is coming in town on the 11th and wants to go to Patoka. I don't want this to be a wasted trip and would like get on some bass for him but I have never fished in the fall. Any advice on lures, depth, maybe certain areas? anything would help.
Thanks

Black buzzbaits and frogs around the green grass you can find on the flats close to deep water should get you some good bites... Good luck and let us know how you do.
The best area to fish if your not on the lake alot is Newton stewart south ramp. that area has everything in it,plus tons of bass are released in there every year. The grass is hard to see,but there is plenty of it there in 4 to 6 ft of water. start on long flat points. One person using topwater and the other jig or plastic. then work your way towards back of pockets. Good Luck
