Markland Dam Skipjack

Good afternoon, I'm planning a trip to Markland Dam Sunday now that the river is down within reason. Has anyone been fishing for Skipjack there yet? I think It's still a little early but it may be worth a shot. Any tips on where to find them at the dam?

I don't know much about skipjack fishing but I've watched a few of Steve douglas's YouTube videos and find them to be pretty helpful for general info. Look for the real turbulent water near the dams

I gave it a shot but did not have much luck. I got a few nice bass though. I'll give it a shot again next weekend and report back when they are in there.
