The first hole from the upper dam is approx. 23ft deep at summer pool and would be the first spot I would try. It's located on the shelf in front of the museum. Cats will also be up in the faster moving water closer to the dam but snagging up is the issue up there. The rock point is another good spot there is a 40ft hole right out in front of you but if you don't wade out a little to the ledge( be very careful) a flathead will destroy your whole spool of line by pullig you straight down over the ledge and then if it's any size will break you off. The mud bank can be descent if the water levels are right but like I said it's all about the water levels. We have a slight rise coming and that will affect everything. Being at the right place at the right time is key. It's taken me 40+ years of fishing the area and lot's a skunks to put together a good idea of were they MIGHT be. Time on the water= the best advice. I started a journal years ago and kept track of when, where, how ect.... Then you can look back and come up with a good guess. Good luck. Chuck
