Cumberland river

My son and I fished Saturday evening and caught a few 14-16 inch rainbows late. Sunday morning water was green with a bit of murkiness but overall pretty good. Cloudy and rain should have Made it a great fishing day but didn't catch our first fish until 10:30 after arriving at 7am. Started catching again and ended up catching 3 or 4 each. The dam was not letting out water until 6 am Sunday. I wonder if the lack of current slowed it down until the water reached us. If weather holds, going back down this weekend. Warning. Flooded river has more than a few logs sticking up far off shore. That and lots of fog made this morning trip upriver a bit tense. We put in at burksville.
