    Lowrance set up

In the console of my boat i have a HDS 7 to the right of that i have a HDS 12 and in the front i have a HDS 10. Right now they are all networked to the transducer in the back of the boat shooting through the haul. I also have the structure scan transducer going to all three HDS's. I have a MinnKota trolling motor with a built in transducer. How do i hook up the trolling motor transducer to the HDS 10 in the front and still have the structure scan on all three...Thanks for your help.

There should be a port on the back of your unit that is for the sonar transducer. You may need an adapter to hook the sonar plug up with the trolling motor. I did with my MK Fortrex. You may also need to go into your unit and select the source you want for sonar which would be "this unit". When on downscan or sidescan, you will be using the transducer on the back of the boat. When using sonar, you should still be able to select the glassed in transducer as well if you want to for some reason. I running Gen 1 units.

Shouldn't there be a cable coming off the trolling motor that hooks up to the HDS?

My MK Fortrex has a wire coming out of the foot pedal that then connects to my HDS7 plug using an adapter that I bought with my trolling motor. It then plugs into the far left port as you are looking at the back of the HDS7 unit. Hope this helps.

There is a wire coming out of the front of my foot peddle going to my HDS. The only connection i see is where it hooks to the far left on the HDS. Does the adapter hook to that wire somewhere? Another words i don't see any adapter.
Heck it might be using the transducer in the trolling motor. The only thing is that my counsole and up front are networked and they show the same screen. I was told by the person that hooked everything up that both units were using the transducer in the rear.

    Thank You very much

Go into your HDS10 and put it in sonar mode using your pages key. Now press the menu key. Somewhere in the menus there should be a tab that says "source". You want that "source" to say "this unit". If it does, you should be reading off of the transducer in your trolling motor. The adapter I mention is very small and is inline with the wire coming from the foot pedal. You probably already have it. Again, I have Gen1 units. Let me know if you cannot find that source tab and I will find out the exact key strokes to get you there.
