Patoka? Whats your take on this lake ?

Regular fisherman on this body of water...I know what im getting when I fish here...10 bites '' you better make good on those bites'' with a chance for 1/2 those bites being 3 to 5 lbers...Most Hoosiers seem to dislike this lake.. I myself love it...its close and i have a good chance at a big bass evertime i fish it...I will share a few pics of what me and my fishin buddy did this weekend......like to hear your take on my lake...thanks

If you can fish it during the week and stay away from weekends during PEEK, I tend to like it too.........But it gets a bunch of pressure, and the fact that it is turning around means it will get more pressure.

I've too caught some serious bags out of there. Not as much this past spring, but yea, it is a GREAT lake. I've caught 5-s and 6's and heard of a couple 7's, but have not put any of those in the boat, and have not had any caught by any of my friends.

I definitely think the addition of walleye to the lake has really helped chomp on some of those gizzard shad that were monopolizing the lake.

Now if only Monroe can start turning around.

Went camping up there several years ago at their primative camp area. After hiking a mile or so and settling on a nice spot near water, I took my pole and threw a few times from the bank into some wood structure. Caught 2 3+lbs in 10 minutes. Didnt catch anything else, but it was enough for me to love the lake. Unfortunately have not been back since.
