boat seat pedestals

I have an older Nitro 185SF boat. The driver and passenger seats sit too low for me now. The pedestals are a VIKING brand and they are 6" tall, they have a 12" base plate. Trying either to raise them 4"-6" taller or replace them but the pedestal I see now are 9" or 10" base plates. Ant suggestions? TANK

Could you post a pic or 2 of the seats showing how they bolt from pedestal to seat bottom, and at the pedestal base.
My thoughts are you may be able to swap the existing pedestals out for one like this.

Second thought would be to remove the pedestal base from the deck, then with 2X4 framing and 3/4 plywood, build a small wood platform to bolt to the deck, then put the old pedestal back on top of the new wood platform.
