cumberland striper report?

Just covered and stored the boat in the barn 2 weeks ago, but with the warm weather Saturday I can't resist pulling it back out and heading to cumberland.

I saw Jared Harmon's most recent report for the upper end that looked somewhat promising but I'll be fishing around Jamestown. If anyone has some recent info on bait and fish location/depth I'd much appreciate it.

The Jamestown Webcams captured surface action sporadically right in side the harbor area between Jamestown and State dock today. Was late afternoon/early evening 4-6 pm. Small groups, or singles, working the area around the buoys at the edge of the harbor and right up close to the rock walls leading to State Dock. Other reports talked about Stripers shallow, so may have been a school surface feeding. I'd try free line live baits trolled thru slow from the stern while casting surface lures from the bow.

Fish up here had dropped in the 25-30 ft range suspended today. Took us a while to find em but bit fair once we did. Some nice fish too. There has been some short lived sporadic surface activity up here as well, just like usual, don't last long. Mid creek seems to be best bite and most numbers I'm seeing. Good luck.
