    Green River-Taylor county videos

Posting this for an advertiser. I watched the video at the link below then others played after that. I learned some things about the fishing at Green River and some other things available there. Makes me want to go.

Uhhhhhhh .... while Green River Lake is a great Crappie lake, I seriously doubt the "average" size Crappie is TWO POUNDS !! It's more like 9" ... with the possibility of many 11-13" fish ... and the OCCASIONAL 2lb fish, but certainly NOT the "average".

IMHO - You'll get a better idea of Green River Lake Crappie fishing by watching these two video's :

The video claims large-mouth, small-mouth and KY bass commonly found over 5 pounds...the lake does have some 5 pound LM and few 5 pound SM but I have never seen or even heard of a report of a 5 pound KY bass coming from that lake. In reality there is a few decent bass in the lake but if you come with the plans of "its common for the lake to produce 5 pound LM SM and KY bass" then your in for a surprise. Same thing goes for the crappie. If it was common to catch 2 pound crappie then I would sell my bass gear and become a crappie fisherman.

The video reminds me of a bait-shop owner I know. Many times I have been in his store and some one would come in to buy crappie minnows. They will ask if the crappie are biting and its always a yes...ask yourself which sells more minnows a yes there biting or no you had better go back home and wait until the bite gets better.

Pretty much the same thing in the video, its intention is to promote and sell something. If your going to promote and sell tourism then you had better make it sound very appealing...BTW I have some ocean front property for sale in KY. Its in a mediterranean climate. Average temperature year round is 80 degrees. Anyone interested just contact me.

The crappie statement is very false but the bass statement is fairly true. There are a ton of 4-6lb largemouth in the lake and plenty of 4+lb smallies. While
the lake isnt "full" of big KY's ive seen a few 5's come out of there in the last 3-4 years. They only show up in the spring and late fall but theyre in there. Ive had probably 15 ky's over 4 in my boat the last 4-5 years
