To be honest I never did care much for Steve Jobs. Apple's proprietary business model was not to my liking. They made their products too expensive and shut out competition from others until IBM made the PC and took the business away from Apple with a more open structured product. Others were able to make and sell peripherals for the IBM computer and their business model took over the world. Apple was left with the arts crowd who needed specific technology to do their job. But IBM took over the business world.
Apple has shot itself in the foot. By this I mean that they are not faced with a product that can be hacked and the clients data is no longer safe from the Government seeing what's in the I phones.
If apple has just coorportated with the FBI in the first place like they did in the past this story would not have been so big and Apple's reputation for making unhackable I Phone would not be down the drain right now.
Besides that the Government had to pay over 1 million dollars to a hacker/s in order to figure out how to break into the Apple Iphone6 and now the FBI has the tools to do this over and over again at will. Where as before the FBI offered to allow Apple to have the terrorist's I phone and hack into it and then give the phone data to the FBI. Apple would have had the IPhone6 to itself and didn't have to share the hacking method with the FBI only the data found inside the phone. Which means that only one phone was looked at (By Apple own methods in Apples home) and no other phones would be hacked.
But Apple chose to not give the data to the FBI and so the FBI went around Apple to get the data anyway. Now Apple is selling an IPhone6 that is not secure from Government searches. Thus Apple's marketing strategy is shot.
The ironic thing is that Apple always helped the FBI before in cases like this.
