Fixing the water pipes that contain lead in them. Chaning the way we deliver water to the citizens of the USA and other countries.

How in the Heck did we let engineers and contractors put lead in the solder that we used to solder the water pipes together when they were installed? Did they know know that lead was dangerous? Did they now know that when water is acidic that the lead is dissolved out of the lead pipes into the drinking water?

Did they not know better than to put a toxin like Lead in the paint that millions of Americans used to paint their homes before 1978?

Did the contractors not know about the dangers of Asbestos Fibers before they used them to insulate our homes and businesses?

Where lead can cause brain and nevous system damage to children that will impact them for the rest of their lives. Maybe it's not unknown why we Americans are falling behind in math and science as compared to other countries. Maybe it's because of the lead in our drinking water supplies.

Mean while the city's Mayors keep telling everyone the water is safe to drink. Even the President took ONE SIP from a glass of water that was filtered before he drank it. Water that was suppose to be from the Flint Michigan Water System. I wonder what type of filters they used to filter the water that the President Drank? I Noticed that he only took one quick sip before he put the glass of water back down. Why didn't he drink the entire glass of water. Would that have not been more reassuring that the water was safe to drink. I've talked about DOSES many times before. But the more you drink and the higher the concentration of the contaminates the greater the Dosage you receive. And the greater the dosage of a poison the greater the ill effects over time.

We learn from our mistakes.And if it dosen't cost much we fix them.If it costs too much, we study the problem, untill it cures it self or kills us. Sorry, but thats a fact of life. Saturday will be going to Purdue for my last grandsons graduation.In early august I'll be going to Atlanta for my only grand daughters graduation form U of georgia. I'm the only living grandparent.I was very proud as a parent, on our childrens achievments, but I'm a little sad now, because our generation has screwed up this great county and world.But humans are adaptable, and I hope they have as great a life as I've had.

I'm liking for the achievements........not for the "our generation screwed up the country" .

The challenges in their future are real. Let's hope that your kids, and grandkids, and MY kids, can figure it out and make a better life.

I just noticed a ad on the side of the page for this thread/post that is about filtering fluoride ions out of drinking water along with other elements that should not be in the water we drink. I think that's amazing how the ad is tailored to the topic of the thread. I guess not all ads are bad. At least they didn't put an ad for feminine hygiene products on my thread. LOL
