Is There Any Bank Fishing Access at Clay's Ferry ?

I have business this week at EKU in Richmond and the Wife and I are looking to wet a line in the area without being able to take a boat,I was wondering if there was bank fishing access around Clay's ferry boat ramp in the Kentucky River or if we'd be better served to find a public lake in the area?

I do believe fishing is allowed at the Clays Ferry campground area. That is right off Highway 75. Someone might want to verify this though? If your going to be visiting EKU. The public lake is Reba, just behind the Cain Pole Tackle Shop. Just minutes from Roy Kidd Stadium and Walmart. There is plenty a bank fishing there. Good Luck.

If you are fishing from the bank and you are EKU, I would recommend going to the Boonesborough State Park area. Didn't say what you were fishing for, but I am going to reveal one of my best secrets right now... get a box of red worms and fish the area with a current. I use a bobber and leave about 3-4 feet of line below the bobber. DON'T USE A WEIGHT. Throw to the top of the current and let it drift. We have caught LM, SM, bluegill, white bass, gar, musky, catfish and even a few walleye and sauger. Tight lines.
