    Herrington Lake power plant discharge

One of my favorite places to fish at Herrington was to the left of the dam where the cooling water from the power plant ran back into the lake creating a waterfall. Last time I was at the lake, I didn't see this discharge. Has something changed and this waterfall area no longer exists or did I just catch it on a day that it was possibly turned off for maintenance, etc?

I just looked on Google Maps ... and it's still there, but appears to be farther back into the creek than what I remember it being. But, I'm not even sure about that, since it's probably been over 20yrs or more since I've fished up that way. I was thinking it was maybe 1/3 the way into the creek, but the Google Map image shows it as being more like 3/4 of the way back. The image shows water running out of the pipe and into the creek ... so maybe you did just show up at a time when there wasn't any cooling going on. (or else you didn't go far enough back into the creek ?? )
