Well the wind wasn't a huge factor today for the first time all week and the side effects was the fishing got tough. Got on them pretty good this morning but once the sun got overhead, it was a tough bite. So tough I had to toss plastic for the first time this week.
Followed the same pattern that Ive been on all week and the fish were still in the same areas. 1/2 way back and back to toward the fronts. The bite this morning was vicious, as both keepers I boated had the bait choked down their throats. As the day went along, the bite became more finesse like. Boated my kicker today on a shaky head, 4.5lb largemouth. All together, boated 5 keeps today for 13.5lbs. Had a couple short fish but nothing like earlier in the week.
Water temps started around 60 this morning and made it close to 64 by the end of the day.
Finishing up the trip tomorrow morning. Winds supposed to be back at it from the south. Be safe if you get back out on the lake.
