California leading the way to a cleaner more energy efficient tomorrow.

Nothing is stopping you from moving to Mexico. You might be happier down there with a dictator. Just remember that they may not want you there and kick you back to the USA.
California and the East Coast area are leaders and always have been. The Midwest is normally about ten years behind California in technology.
The only thing I would not like about living out there is the huge population that abounds out there. I prefer a more secluded area myself. I'm happy right here in IN. And in ten more years we too will have Fuel Cell cars driving up and down our highways.
i don't have a problem with fuel cells, it's all the other socialist stuff.
i thought all you commune types liked to be in a crowd?

And I thought all you conservative types didn't like fuel cells or anything other than coal. Guess I was wrong about you.
Naw. Crowds are not for this guy. I guess I'm not a commune type then.
i'm all for alternative fuels, just not on government subsidies. i think solar will eventually be cost effective. there is so much power there that they haven't figured out how to capture.

The capture part is easy, its the transfer thats the problem.Moving electricity to where it can be cheaply produced to areas where it can be use {from where], is far behind. Some engineering genius in another country will figure out how to, and what to use to lower the cost of transmission. I'm living in a metropolitn area, and HATE it, Back in cumberland county KY my nearest neighbor was almost an 1/8 of a mile away. One stop light served the county. The deer and turkeys would almost feed off the decks. But folks age, and others get sick, so the urban areas eventually get us, but we don't need to like it.

I have a friend that has an alternative energy company, and he's pushing his product without gubment intervention.
He will probably make it.........
He's one of the smartest people I know, and his IQ is higher than probably everyone on this board. He's way over genius level.......He spent way too many years wasting energy, but over the past 10 years, he's been doing really innovative ****.
he took his solar method to Minnesota in the winter a few years ago, and heated a small cabin exclusively from SOLAR. NOT talking 80 degrees warm, but livable (58 or so degrees) warm.......That was from a base of 10 during the day and -10 overnights..........
So, yea, alternatives are legit, just get GUBMENT out of it, and let markets dictate........
Lets not kid each other, utilitys USE government to further expand their reach, and also to limit competition, stop and think what could happen with out the NRC. some of those redundant safety features would be ignored because of red tape, and the bottom line. Imagine a 3 mile island scenario on one of the great lakes, and the effect it would have on the grinking water for about 10 million people.legislators don't come up with some of thjis stupid s--t, it's brought to their attention by self serving concerns aided by shyster lobbyists. Coal mining will never go back to underground mining, when companys can buy legislators to surface mine, and forget reclamation. Acid rain was real, will we go back to that, and how many jobs will that gain us.You guys forget that government can and is bought for the good of some, and to hell with the others. We don't need more government, but we could not exist with no government.
