White Bass / Hybrids

Hello,
I was wondering if someone could clear something up for me. I have been down to the Dix (Rankin Rd Area) a couple times during the spring white bass run and hooked up with some nice Hybrids. Do the Hybrids spawn along with the white bass or did I maybe just luck up on a few that happened to be in the water at the same time. I'm hoping I get a chance to go down there this year and I'd love to target some of those hybrids if possible, they are a ball to catch.

Hybrid Stripers will make a spawning run, roughly at the same time as White Bass ... but, their spawning capabilities are very limited & have a limited success rate ... which is why the KDFWR stocks Hybrid Striped Bass in many of our lakes.

You might also consider fishing the upper Salt River of Taylorsville Lake.
