Thanks for the report. I'll bet that the current up by Kings Bridge was pretty swift with 10,000 CFS flowing though the ****.
Did you notice any current at all in the Old Patoka River section or under the bridge at 145?

No runs,,,, no hits,,,, no fooling.
Water temps. are 47* to 50*. The 50* water temps was found back in Little Patoka Creek. BUT,,,, the water has lots of junk floating. You can put a white spinner bait one inch under water and can't see it.(Decaf Coffee with three shots of cream is more clear!) Some very large logs are floating about two feet below the serface. You hit them and they roll back in to your prop, everyone is moving about idle speed, it took almost one and a half hours to get back to the shallow water by Kings Bridge. I spoke to about 6 other fishermen that had no luck at all.
Another danger if you dont know where the islands are located on the main lake you will run aground, All the islands I know of are covered with water, you can see a few twigs and tall grass thats marks the island.
One fish was caught on a red crank bait, fishing the rip rap by the bridge that takes you to Little Patoka. Those fellows were fishing in the BLF ? They only had two fish all day.
I'm going to give it another month, then try it one more time. Lemon or Monroe has to be better without all the junk and mud.

No I didn't notice the curent as I fished BUT, when I charged my batteries they were almost spent. I was on the Motorguide a lot because of the wind. Could have been the current I guess. I was hugging the bank alot tring to stay out of the wind. Kings Bridge is off of Ethel Road, the dams were west of my area about 4 miles as the crow flys. Anyone know what ramp the IBF went out of.? I saw several boats but only one reported fish caught. It had to be tuff fishin anyplace on that lake yesterday.
This coming Tues. and Wed. snowstorm and rain will put a double lockjaw on the fishing. Indiana weather,,, what more can I say?
I went up and watched the weight ins lots of fish brought to the scales for the weather and water conditions. I only saw one limit it was somewhere around 12lb. when I left top was 14+ one guy had three fish at 12+
several in the 3 lb range
Can you take a guess how many boats fished?, how many boats came back empty? where did they launch from, what ramp? Did you see or hear how they got their fish? I tried shallow maybe thay are still deep. I glad you got to see some fish, it's got to get better.
83 boats, Newton Stewart South, caught on variety of baits. Water is cold, you gotta fish slowwwww. Be patient and work an area throughly.
Anybody fish Patoka yet this week? Probably not with all the freakin snow we've had. Fishing a tournament there this weekend, looking for info on water level, temp., clarity....
