    cleaning boat carpet

Thinking about scrubbing down and rinsing my boat carpet. Would anyone out there know of a good and safe detergent or soap to use.

    RE: cleaning boat carpet

i usually take the garden hose and soak my carpet down real good and spray some wool-lite on it and scrub it down. wash it out with water and shop vac it out. i do it once a year to my basstracker makes it look real good. just got to clean out all your compartments first.

    RE: cleaning boat carpet

My wife and I used to hire someone to shampoo the carpet in our house. After a couple of times we decided that it would be cheaper to just buy a carpet shampooer and do it ourself. I think we paid around $150 for a shampoo machine and it works great in the house and on boat carpet. The one we bought has a small attachment that lets you get in small spaces and it works great on the boat.
