look for a fuse b/w the starter and the cylenoid(sp?), Im runnin a rude but experienced the exact same problem, should be a little inline bugger, more than likely behind a removable plastic piece close to the starter

My 96 johnson venom 200 trim just quit. There is now power to the trim motor. I can't imagine both relays going out at once. Is there a master fuse somewhere that I'm overlooking?

I dont know if the Venomn has a power disturbution panel or not but I had the same problem on my ficht and the problem was where the wires plug into the panel. Follow the wires from the trim motor and see if they plug into a panel where a bunch of fuses are located. Pull the plug out and make sure none of the male posts are loose. That was my problem a weak post on the male portion of the plug in.

Alright there are several light blue/white stripe wires going to the trim relays. One of them has a short in it somewhere. If I unplug it the trim works fine. Anybody know what this wire goes to?
