Good place to stay on Ky/barkley

Now that Moors is gone, stumpjumpers has found a really good place to stay on Barkley, Barkley Motel. It is an older place but very clean and fisherman friendly. Has good place to park boats with electricity close. Bruce, the owner, is very nice and easy to work with if you are scheduling for a club tournament, etc. He will help with weigh-ins at the motel and even releases the fish for you. The price is reasonable especially considering all the extras he provides for fishermen.

    stickbait,

I could be wrong, but I think that he is referring to what used to be the Ramada Inn. It is on 641 or on 62, dang I can not remember. I'll go check at www.kentuckylake.com

    Nope,

    Sorry Stickbait,

Inn by the Lake is what I was thinking of, and it is on HWY 62.

I did not see Barkley Motel listed.

I guess that is what happens when I try to think for myself when not qualified to do so.

    Ooooopss.

    RE: Nope,

The motel he is talking about is located in Lake City just before you cross the bridge on the left. There are some cabbins first, but Bruce's place is about 3/8 of mile back. VERY GOOD PLACE

    RE: Nope,

Just so everyone knows the last I heard the Moors should be back up and ready by the spring. It's been a couple of months since I've checked but this was the last I heard. May want to check it out. Nothing against the hotel.
