[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON Feb-20-06 AT 11:25AM (EST)[/font][p]The Lake Country Outdoors division of Midwest Sportsman will hold their 1st tournament on Lake Cumberland out of Pumpkin Creek this coming Saturday (Feb. 25th)

Greg Wilson, owner of Lake Country Outdoors Tackle Store in Russell Springs, is going to guarantee a minimum of $1,000.00 to the 1st place team at all six of his qualifying tournaments regardless of the number of boats that fish the tournament!!

The entry fee is $80.00 per boat and Big Bass is included. All tournaments are launched out of the Pumpkin Creek Ramp. The dates are:

FEB 25
MARCH 18
MARCH 25
APRIL 01
APRIL 29
MAY 20

The tournament hours are 6:30am to 3:00pm (Central Std Time) for all tournaments.

You only have to fish 4 out of 6 tournaments to be eligible to qualify for the National Classic.

The top points winning team in this division will receive a $500.00 Bonus at the end of the season!! The largest Bass weighed in for this division will receive a $250.00 bonus at the end of the season!!

I have heard rumors of some large sacks being weighed-in at recent tournaments.......so, just to make it interesting....if the winning weight this Saturday is over 20lbs, I will add 100 dollars to the first place prize.

How much is a Midwest Membership?

You earn Classic qualifying points in the division you join, however, you are allowed to fish in any Midwest Sportsman divisional tournament in any state for the money.

All Midwest Sportsman divisions pay back 90% at the ramp. The National Classic pays back 100%.

I called down at Lake Country Outdoors and there saying the membership for there tournaments this year is going to be $100.00 EACH person.... is that right???

That is WRONG!! The membership is only $60.00 just like it has been for the last 5 years.

I think what they meant to say was the first tournament will cost you $100.00 which includes your half of the entry fee + your membership fee.

After the first tournament, you will only pay $40.00 per tournament for your half of the entry fee.
