If ya fish Herrington alot like I do I need some help. I dont know how many of yall been up in Red Gate Creek and seen the mess that that dock is in. I went up there Tuesday and could not get pass where the dock is supposed to be. It is broken all to pieces and blocking alot of good fishin, and looks like dodo. So I called KDFWR about this. At first I was told that is a private lake and a private dock, so they have no jurisdiction. Then I asked why then is it patroled and citations issued. Her reply was for safety issues. I said well maybe you should go look at the hazard that dock is causing. Houseboats and old shops hanging up on the bank where kids could easily get under and get crushed. Then she called someone and got back to me saying that it is in the Garrard County court system because of other calls of this matter. So what I would like to see from you guys is call the KDFWR at 1-800-858-1549 and complain of the dock blocking the creek. The dock is Red Gate Boat Dock and located in Garrard County. Please call. Alot of good fishing goin to waste cos of some ones lack to take care of their property and dont care how it affects other people.
Thanks in advance. Dennis

Thanks guys. Hope this can get resolved fairly quick.
You, or someone needs to get some pics of this and post them online.
You may have some luck with this problem, by getting in touch with the Herrington lake conservation league. They are pretty good about taking care of things of this nature. Hope this helps.
Thanks but I dont know how to get in touch with them. If you or someone else knows I would appreciate the info on who to call.
