Cumberland River Hybrids

Are there hybrids to be caught on the Cumberland River between the Ohio River and Lake Barkley or are the Lakes a better choice?
Is it even worth the time to target hybrids in April and if so where would be the best locations. Thank's in advace for any information.

Has anyone here ever spent much time on this section of the Cumberland?

I've got a neighbor that raves about the "rock" fish fishing below the Smithland dam. He says it is great, but does not recomnend being in a 'glass boat. Lots of boulders.

I also am told by a friend that he catches a lot of the hybrids below Barkley dam or KY dam, either one. He fishes in the summer at night from shore.
