If the lake is at normal "Operating Level" you can expect the lake to be around 355 to 356 during the first week of April...the lake will be on a slow rise during the week. Now that is the "normal operating" levels..ie..does not mean it could not be higher due to spring floodwaters coming in from upriver. You can find a chart that depicts the normal operating levels of Kentucky Lake and other lakes on the TVA system at the TVA website.
Trapper,
Dave Stewart will be more help, he lives on that lake.
However, from my limited experience, if it is a normal spring, I would expect the water levels to be around 356-357. Summer pool is 359, while winter pool is 354. I have fished in April down there though when the water level was in the 360's, so it is really just a guess at this point. If I am not mistaken, summer pool is scheduled each year to be reached by Memorial day, so if you are really early april, then it maybe still only 355 or so.
Here's a good website to help watch the levels:

I hope this helps out... and also follow the link to the Hancock Biologic station. Some great stuff there too.
