Ditto that question. I caught several up in the Obey River above Jolly Creek once, but have never been able to catch them on a consistant basis.

Hello all.
We're looking forward to our trip down to Dale in a few weeks. We have stumbled into a few nice crappie down there before and would like to target them for a few days. I sure like the brown bass but something to throw in a pan is always nice!
We have caught a few while fishing with jigs/minnows but never seem to get into a mess of them.
Any ideas? We'll be staying at Cedar Hill so any clues on that end of the lake would be appreciated!
Thanks,
G.H.

There are several slides from some of the bluffs that have brought large trees into the lake. There is one on the left right before you get to Wisdom boat dock. I have caught fish here in the fall but never fished Dale in the spring for crappie yet. There is also several slides in the mouth of Wolf river. If you can find some of the large tall grass that grows in the lake, that may also be a good place to fish.
The slide on the left going back Illwill across from Wisdom has delivered for me as well. We caught one in the 2 lb class out of that area last year around the 1st week of April. It was a white crappie....caught it on a grub.
Best of luck man!
Thanks for the information guys. That is great. I know where several slides are....i'll hit all of them. Including the ones you're talking about.
