    what you guy's do???????????

fishing lake shasta in northern cali. next week in a stren series tourn.

have a couple friends already there prefishing.
both guys said the fishing is wide open catching fish on 3 or 4 different lures but everything is the same size.

catching close to 100 fish a day on dropshot but all the fish are only 1 to 1-1/2 lbs. everything caught so for has been schooled up spots. very common for lake shasta so i hear.

question is what would you do? use a bait that you your catching alot of fish on all day in hope's of eventually catching larger fish.

or fish that bait for a couple hours to get a good limit, then switch to something else that you may not catch as many on but maybe catch 1 or 2 bigger fish??????

Wouldn't try to hit the homerun until I had that limit. Then I would go back to try and pick off a couple bigger ones. If everyone's drpshotting, show them something different. May get lucky! Good luck regardless of choice.

target the limit, once the limit is obtained go big, try drop shoting a 10" worm or move to a different patern, off of outside structure, swim baits or horizontal decending tubes are similar to the drop shot but have better luck on bigger fish. Good luck, go Ky fisherman
