Fished pitman creek today, there is still a lot of debris on the surface. temp 52 on the mainlake 50 at the head of the creek. Usually at this time of year if the lake is at full pool the stripers would be stacked in the upper creek they are not, and the baitfish, while there are some, are not there either in great numbers. pulling bait on three ways showed no fish on the bottom anywhere at 20 to 25 feet and no bait was graphed as well. The only fish caught were in about 15 feet of water on jigs slow rolled, got 2 just over keeeper size doing that but they were close to the debris mats on the surface. Visibility on the water was about 3 feet, better on the mainlake

Hey Scott did you have any them ole smallmouth chasing that doll fly to the boat???
Thanks for the report.I noticed you said the water temp was 52 in pittman creek and 50 on the main lake. I am shocked at the those temps. I fished Tuesday from Fall Creek and the main lake was 45 and the creeks were 47. Was there a heat wave through that aera or what. I live 55 minutes north of somerset and it hasn't gotten above 45 all week here.
Dale Hollow was 49.5 on the main lake today (Friday). So Cumberland should be the same or close.
I thought I posted that the water temp at the head of the creek was colder than that in the main lake. before I put the boat in the air the temp on the graph matched the temp on the truck temp on the F150 and i stared at it the whole time I pulled bait on the bottom???
None, that is a rare thing thing to happen on the upper end, I would say that for me it has only happened about 3 times over the years, but they were senile big fish never any little fish
