Through the years Herrington has been referred to as the "The Dead Sea", but in reality when the biologist shock the lake they say it has more fish per acre than any lake in Kentucky. I also know it is a difficult lake to fish because of the rock walls and deep water. Since the power plant keeps the water drawn down, it also makes the shore barren of wooden structure for crappie to relate. What I am leading to is this. It seems like their is a lot of interest in the white and hybrid fishing on this lake since it is in central Kenttucky. Why can't the biologist make this a first class white and hygrid fishery by supplementing the numbers by a stocking program to help out the less than normal spawn that occur each year?
