Can we post pictures of a boat we're selling on the BOAT board? If so, can you explain the procedure?
Dynatrak,
I've spoken with Jim D. about this feature for the community tackle box board. Currently any such feature has been disabled. The reason is because of those who would post inappropriate material.
Andrew is correct about posting it on your own site, and then posting the URL. Or, you could always suggest to Jim another page that would have the boats pictured. If you do this, let him know that I would be willing to help him. We discussed letting people email me photos of their tackle and then I would post it for them, and I would do the same for the boats. That way we could police the photos to make sure only appropriate material gets posted.
Good luck,
Danny
thanks, danny. just sent both of them an email and mentioned you as well.
:)
I don't believe it is possible with the current software. If you have a site where you can post the picture, you could put a link in your post to the photo. Might email JimD or Peter (email addresses at the top left of the forum) and see what they can do.

www.photobucket.com will host your photos for free if you need a site that will keep your pics online for you. I use it for ebay pics.
I just stated using PhotoBucket recently and it's great for hosting pictures.
If inappropriate text can be moderated in here then it's possible to moderate inappropriate photos also.
The software that runs this forum has the ablity to show photos in here if only the Owner turns it on.
I understand the need to keep the site running smoothly. And I can understand the reason to not want the fishin.com servers to be loaded up the lots of photos due to the memory requirements.
Maybe if there are some good moderators then we could catch inappropriate photos just like they catch and delete inappropriate text.
It's just a suggestion and I am sure that this has been asked before.
But photos can used benefically also and it makes showing people your lures, boats and fishing equipment a lot more fun.
But I like the idea of having a link to the photo. But with photo bucket you have to enter a password before you can view your own album. I am not sure how you can link your album to show people your pictures without them having your password. Is there another way to let people see what's in your album on PhotoBucket?

THe password gives you admin abilities to edit, remove, etc... your own photos. In order for others to see your pics, you just add a link and poof, there it is.
nice. thanks donger.
thanks. are you the same apb on kentuckyangling.com? nice striper.
Don't think I've ever posted over there. My partner does, so there may be a photo of me there. We caught a few recently.
Andrew
