    New walleye limit

I am curious as to how the new limit will help. "the new six fish limit" In the past 10 years I can only remember when the fish were hot hitting ten only a few times and at least 4 to 5 were at the 15 inch size limit. I would think it would be better to increase to size limit to at least 20 inches and then 6 fish that would be plenty and that would be a banner day which could be attainable. The 15 inch size is too small.

Plenty of walleyes. Six at 15 inches is fine.

    RE: New walleye limit

Yes I agree, but what was the point of doing that, what is the end goal? I do understand lowering the limit would seem to help increase the the numbers of walleye, but you could rarely if ever get that in the first place. An increase in the size limit to at least 20 inches would have an effect if you want more walleyes the new regs will not. Then have a six fish limit. I am still curious as to what the new regulation's goal is? What and why was it done? And by doing so what is expected for the walleye population for the years to come?
