    RE: selling the old sled

i'll give 2 good ones. this was my first bass boat. never owned one with tilt and trim before. the first time i put it in i was with a friend who knew i had never owned a bass boat. we went crappie fishing and fished for about 4 hours and just slayed 'em. we probably caught 100 fish and about 50 of them were keepers. we had a blast. well i didnt know my trolling motor was about dead i had it in low all day (bad battery it turns out). try to get the big motor going to troll out, another dead battery. i learned fast to put jumper cables in the boat. we're little clifty creek on rough and we put in at laurel branch. roughly 13 miles. he had to call his brother to pick him up at the ramp in clifty and drive him to laurel branch to get my truck and drive it back to clifty to pick me up. i didnt know the roads to get to the ramp. he gets the jumper cables out of the truck. we get the big motor going. time to load a boat for the first. try #1, slammed the side bunk and broke it in half. try #2, the trailer was in to far (cause i didnt pay attention to how far we were when we put in) so i slam the bow roller and break the pin holding it on. i gave up and let him load it.

story #2, first time putting the boat in by myself. got it in great had a good fishing. caught a 6lb. bass and about 10 3 lbers. i'm all hyped up going back to the ramp. when i get out of the boat to go get the truck there was no one around, anywhere. when i get the trailer in there are about 7 or 8 boats in line. so i throw the trailer in and jump out, jump in the boat and push off. throw the trolling motor down and start out to load the boat. of course i dont want any of these people to know that i dont have a clue what i'm doing. i get out from the bank and go to pull up the trolling motor to start the big motor. sometimes my trolling sticks and you have to step on the mount bracket to loosen it enough to pull it up. well i'm in hurry because i'm trying to look like an expert and just slam my foot on the bracket and my foot goes flying out to the side to where i'm basically doing the splits in mid-air. me being the extremely nongraceful man that i am my other foot goes flying to and just flat crush my stuff on the side of the boat. anyone who has destroyed their junk before knows that you are paralyzed from the excruciating pain. i fall off of the side of the boat in the fetal position, throwing up, and squeeling like a freakin pig. moral to the story is when you're laying in the water after just crushing your stuff on the side of your own boat, cool don't mean much lol.
