have never fished boltz before and was wondering how much fishing pressure this lake gets anymore, i hear it used to get a lot of fishing pressure years ago, but was wondering how much it gets fished now. THanks

Fished from 6:30 to 10:30 am, it was cool and breezy. water temp. was 67-68 degrees. Didn't catch first fish till 8:30. I caght three fish total, two short fish and a 2.5 pound female that had just spawned out. Caught one short on a crank and the other two on a chatterbug. The carp were rolling everywhere. As a matter of fact, one of them that looked to be 15+ as he passed the side of the boat still has my 9.00 chatterbug. Stupid carp!

I don't fish it very often myself. All I can tell you is I was the only boat on the water until about 9:00 and there were only three other boats there when I left.
I have just started fishing these smaller lakes in NKY. However, I have to make it down to Boltz because I keep stopping at Bullock Pen. My 1st day there last week we boated 7 not one less than 2lbs....fantastic day (biggest over 4). It took us a while to figure em out but when we did it was nice!
You talking about figuring them out at Bullock Pen or Boltz, because I have fished Bullock Pen without any success, the lake looks great but just can't seem to figure them out down there.
