    taylorsville lake new to the area

    Moved to shelbyville from memphis last fall. Planning a trip to taylorsville lake next weekend. Have heard teh fishing can be pretty slow. Any tips?

    Yea, go to Guist Creek instead, Taylorsville is the dead sea IMHO. Every bass in that lake has been sore mouthed fifteen times. There is four to five tournaments a week on that mudhole.

    If you are strickly fishing for bass then I agree with mhall. But, if you just want to catch some fish and have a great time then I would suggest night fishing. If you tie up near some timber, which is everywhere in Taylorsville, then you should catch plenty of crappie, white bass, catfish, and an occasional hybrid.
