I own a '78 Evinrude 115 in desperate need of some work. Does anyone know someone that does good motor work at a reasonable price? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jim pass on about seven weeks ago.If you have a boat or parts at his shop. his wife has a person getting it to the owners.Jim was a about the most honest person that i have known! when it comes to boat repair. He would keep all my old boats going, when know one else would even look at them. He will truly be missed.
You are so right! I kept going to him long after my Dad passed away because of his honesty and friendship all these years. I didn't realize I was talking to him last summer for the last time when I stopped by. There was no finer person than Jim.
If you live near Lake Cumberland. Jim Flowers is at Bronston (take a left just past the bridge)Same road to go out to Echo Point. His shop is on the left just after you turn. He's been working on my family's boats for over 30 years. He's very reasonable and does not cut corners. Tell him Foster from the STOWAWAY sent you.
Might check with someone,I believe Jim died about 6 to 8 weeks ago.
Who did you hear that from? Man life can really throw some surprises. If so, I wish I had known about it. He and my Dad were really good friends. I'll have to check - I was planning on taking my own boat down next week for him to look at it. Thanks for the info. My heart goes out to Jim's family.
