I don't know if you consider this north barkley but I stayed at Hurricane Creek Campground a few times. It is a army corp campground. very nice. Level, many sites on water.

I'm going to Barkley and Kentucky next weekend and was going to camp. What is a Good campground that is right on the lake?

Eureka is the northernmost campground on the water of Barkley.
Prizer Point by Hurricane bay is the place to go. A beautiful campground and an excellent place to fish and the facilities are very clean. I guarantee that you will absolutely love the place. Look up Prizer Point on the internet.

Prizer Point is the place to go! I'll be there throughout Memorial Day weekend. Great place for everything plus great fishing area.
I agree with Prizer point being very nice. Lots of nice fishing in that bay. I've seen 7 lbers caught in there. One thing though, the owner has quit letting tournaments go out of there, or at least last time I talked to him he was stopping them. That means there are not as many released fish as there used to be, but believe me... still LOTS of fish. Great facilities, store, resturant and shower/bath house.
Also, Holiday Hills used to be a great place to camp. It is near Eddy Creek Marina, and is actually further back in the creek. It too used to have a bath house and store.
If you want primitive, I'd check out the LBL areas.
Good luck and have fun,
Danny
I'd definitely look at the LBL campgrounds! On the north end, the main lake channel hugs the LBL side and the canal is on that side as well if you decide to venture over on to Ky Lake. I'd check out the Nickel Branch campground or Demumbers. I guess it all really depends on what facilities you want available though. Hope you have a good time!
Danny,
I'm looking ahead a bit, but where would be a good campground/get together place for 25/40 folks for about 4 days.
