    DT series Rapalas

I love these cranks but I'm tired of breaking the bills on them. They are the only crank I'v ever had this problem with. If I were beating them on the rocks it would be different, I've got a couple that only made a few casts before they broke. I mentioned this to another guy I know that fishes them and he said he's had the same problem. Is it just us or are any of you haveing the same problem.

What series are you using? I've used the DT16 for a few years now and haven't ever had that problem and I bang the heck out of them on rocks!

I have been fishing them on a regular basis for about 3 years and I have only had one break and that was from slapping it in the water trying to get the grass off,it is my go to crankbait,I love em , as a matter of fact I still have the first one I ever bought and its still catching good fish for me

I have been using them for a couple of years, but here lately the bills are either breaking off or they come loose enough to pull out of the crankbait. I am going to stop buying them because they are too expensive to break after one day of fishing. I think the DT 6's are the worst about breaking but I bought one of the new DT's and it broke after smacking the water to get a leaf off.

I have used the DT 16s and 10s, I think that is the shallower version, and I have had no problems at all.

    Good luck,

    Send them back

If you have more than 1 break, save the crankbait, (if you can get it back) and sent it back to Rapala. Bet they would replace them just for good PR.

I had a probelm a few years back with Titanium Spinnerbaits arms breaking, had 3 in one season. Sent them back to Terminator and they sent me 6 replacements.

    It'll only cost you postage.

Its the dt6's that I've had the problem with. I've not broken a dt10 or 16 yet. `

You guys should get together and write Rapala about the problem. I bet they send replacements and they work on fixing the issue.
