I don't know a thing about bass fishing in that area, but I have to tell you, I love reading about dogtown in any way what so ever.

I grew up in Henderson, and some of my favorite memories are of our family going over to dogtown for catfish on Friday nights. The resturant burned, but I have such fond memories. I don't even remember how to get to dogtown.

    Good luck with your tournies.

Thanks Danny, the Dogtown tavern may have had a fire but it is still going strong. If you ever need directions just let me know. And if anyone from Henderson wants to fish the Wed nite T's they could put in at Henderson and run up to the ramp for the start. Everyone welcome.......

    Don,

I sure wish I could join you guys. Long way from here now.... or well... only about 70 or 80 miles, but still, not knowing the area, I'd hate to travel that far for a short T.

The Dogtown tavern sounds familiar, but this was a family resturant... and definately sold beer. Did I mention we're an old German family?? LOL This was over 35 years ago that I am talking about, and Dad and Mom would take us kids over there to eat. They of course ate and drank... well we did too, but ours were cokes. LMAO

Good luck with your tournaments, maybe someday I can join you guys... do you accept non-boaters? LOL... cheaper than pulling my boat.

Danny, you may be thinking of the Gemaca Inn. It was in Dogtown and I think it did burn. Wish you could make it down....

Charlie: Come south on 41 until you get to the Lloyd expressway. Go west to St.Joseph Av. Turn south, it becomes the Ray Becker Parkway. After you pass the Bristol Meyers plant on your right turn left at the next traffic light. That is Claremont, I believe. You'll cross some railroad tracks and at the bottom of the grade turn right and follow that road past the railroad yard to the boat ramp. It's probably 2 or 3 miles down that road. You'll see a sign when you get there. Hope to see you there.
