    Yamaha V-Max concerns?

Some of you may have read my post on the bumblebee boat. But i just wanted to be sure to get as much info on the vmax as i could. I am looking at a 2000 Bumblebee 200 Pro Vee w/ a 200 Yamaha V-max on it. Is there anything i should watch out for? Comments or concerns are very welcomed. I want to make the most informed decision i can on this boat. I fish w/ the UofL team and i need a reliable boat that i don't have to keep puting money into. As a college student money is hard to come by.

Ring free additive can be purchased at any dealer who sells Yammy's. It adds directly to your gas tank when you buy gas and keeps the engine from building up carbon deposits. Follow the bottles instructions, it's goooooood stuff.

I'd like to know what this ringfree is. Is it like Sea-Foam? I've used Sea-Foam with great results. Where can you get ringfree?

Even the local Evinrude/Merc dealer sells Ring Free here. About 9.95 per bottle. You can still get the OMC/Bombardier equivalent called Carbon Guard, but it's a few bucks more and takes about 3 times as much for the same amount of gas. I use it in my Ficht engine.

    I have a 2000 200 vmax

Make sure you run ringfree through it. Otherwise you may have O2 Sensor problems like I am possibly having now. My motor will be running fine and then the RPMS will drop, but then it will run fine again. I found an article online about running ringfree to keep carbon from building up in the motor. I took my O2 sensor out a couple of days ago and it was caked with carbon. Other than that I have not had any out of the ordianry issues.

sounds like you need to check the electric fuel pump screen it will get clogged up and cause what your motor is doing.

I had a 99, like mentioned run ring free every tank. It was the most trouble free outboard I've ever ran.
