    Traveling Through

I'm working on getting a little weekend father-son trip up for me and some guys I work with to go see the Reds play. We're coming from Bristol, TN and will most likely be coming up I-75. I'd like to find lodging within an hour or so of Cincy that would have a lake, river, ponds, ect. for fishing. The boys range from 6-12, so quantity is more important than quality.

I've looked on the KY state park site and there's two close by that have lodging. General Butler says it has a 30 acre pond and Blue Licks has the Licking River. Has anyone fished these? Blue licks has something about overnight canoe trips which would be a plus since I have to leave the boats at home for this one.

There's also East Fork Lake in OH. Has anyone fished it? I've heard that it's crowded and can be tough to fish?

    Just lookin' for a place to wet a line along the way. . . . . .

I've had good luck on the Licking River the few times that I have fished it. It has about eveything (except trout). I've caught some nice walleye out of the Licking. If it was me, I think I would choose the Licking River over a pond.

The fishing aint much at General Butler. Have never fished the Licking, but I'd take my chances there.
